Meet Khoya – A Gentle Soul with a Goofy Heart.
Khoya is a sweet, affectionate young Mastiff mix who’s ready to find her forever home. At just 8–12 months old, she’s already showing signs of being a wonderful companion. At home, she’s calm and settled, 90% toilet-trained, crate-trained, and sleeps soundly through the night, whether snuggled in your bed or curled up in her crate. She’s past most of the typical puppy chaos and just needs a little guidance to help her blossom.
She’s still learning how to navigate the world with confidence. New environments can be overwhelming, and she’ll need continued lead training and support to feel safe exploring. When she’s excited or unsure, she may mouth gently, something that will improve with time, patience, and positive reinforcement. Khoya is also food reactive and will need a home that can manage mealtimes with care while helping her gain some much-needed weight.
Khoya would thrive in a home with teen or older children and a calm but playful dog companion. She hasn’t been tested with cats, but she’s made her feelings clear about the neighbour’s feline, so a cat-free home is best. She’s curious about the world and has been adorably surprised by things like windscreen wipers, washing machines, and vacuums—but she’s not fearful, just learning.
This beautiful girl has so much love to give and so much potential to grow. She’s looking for someone who understands that she’s still finding her feet and will support her with kindness, structure, and a whole lot of love.
