Meet Flan – Your Sweet Little Shadow
Flan is a two-year-old staffy mix with a heart as big as her appetite! This gorgeous girl is heavily food-motivated (which makes training a breeze) and is ready to find a forever home where she can continue to learn, grow, and be loved.
Personality
Flan is an easy-going sweetheart who loves people and will happily soak up pats and affection. She enjoys nothing more than lounging in the sun for a nap, snoozing the day away, and being close to her humans. She’s a relaxed companion inside the home, but she also has a curious side and loves exploring the world on her walks.
Training & Walking
Flan is improving wonderfully on lead — she loves to stop and sniff every scent along the way! She’s strong, so a harness works best to help with pulling. She can get a little tense or unsure on walks in the evenings around sunset, but with reassurance, she settles. Being food-driven, she’s an eager student and will thrive with ongoing training to reinforce her good behaviour.
Other Pets
Flan is both dog and cat-reactive, so she will need to be the only pet in her home. Dog parks are a big no for her — she much prefers peaceful strolls with her humans. She deserves all the love and attention for herself!
Ideal Home
Flan is looking for a calm, loving household that will give her the consistency she needs to thrive. She’s shown she can adapt well to new environments (her initial potty troubles settled quickly), and with time, patience, and ongoing training, she’ll continue to shine.
She hasn’t been fully tested with children in her current foster home, but we know she’s been fine around kids in the past. With her sweet nature, she would likely do well in a family setting with respectful, dog-savvy children.
In return, Flan will give you loyalty, snuggles, and her adorable sunny personality — plus you’ll always have a friend for your coffee breaks in the garden while she sunbakes nearby.
