Meet Bodhi
Bodhi is an 11-month-old Lab x Staffy with a heart as big as his enthusiasm for life! This handsome young boy is looking for an active family who can help him continue growing into the incredible dog we know he can be.
Full of love and energy, Bodhi adores playing with his toys, chasing a frisbee and making new canine friends. He’s a very social boy who can get a little overexcited when meeting other dogs—not out of aggression, but because he simply loves them a little too much! He would likely thrive with a confident, playful canine companion who can match his energy and help teach him good manners.
Bodhi is already off to a great start. He’s house trained, sleeps happily indoors, travels well in the car and knows a range of commands including sit, shake and clicker-trained behaviours. He loves being part of the family and wants to be involved in everything you’re doing.
Like many adolescent dogs, Bodhi is still learning how to manage his excitement. He can become overstimulated around visitors and has a tendency to jump up when he’s excited. Walks are another area where he’ll benefit from ongoing training, as he can pull strongly on lead and would likely do well using a halti or front-attachment harness while continuing his lead education.
Bodhi would suit an active home committed to continuing his training and providing him with plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. He has enormous potential and just needs someone willing to guide him through his teenage phase.
Despite his boisterous side, Bodhi has a beautiful, affectionate nature. Once he’s settled, he’s a sweet, loving companion who just wants to be close to his people.
