Introducing the sweetest, cheekiest one-eyebrowed boy named Tarte (home name "Billy"). Tarte is believed to be a 6 to 10-month-old Staffy/Bull mix with possibly Catahoula Leopard dog markings. He is stunning!
Tarte was found as a stray and has spent the last month learning to accept love from young children, adults, and other dogs.
He is cheeky, loves cuddles, kids and playing chasey with anything he can find. He loves his walks and needs time to sniff. Tug of war and stimulating toys are his favourite.
Tarte has mastered “Sit”, “Stay” and knows his name. He is learning “Come” and “Down”.
Tarte can be apprehensive of other dogs and would prefer a cat-free home.
Tarte feels an overwhelming need to protect himself and his people, and can be a little bit jumpy when he hears strange noises. He needs to feel safe.
Toilet training is coming along well. He has a few accidents, but as long as he is prompted and has access to outside, he is fine.
Will happily stay home alone for short periods of time only, so long as he can wander freely from inside to outside as he pleases.
His ideal home would be a family with older children (jumpy and bitey) as he is still a puppy, or an adult household where he can soak up all the love.
Tarte still has puppy tendencies, so shoes and other clothing are often not safe.
