Meet Murphy – a beautiful 2-year-old Kelpie Cross who is searching for a foster or foster-to-adopt home in Victoria.
Murphy is currently in season (heat), so any foster home will need to be able to manage her appropriately until she can be desexed.
Murphy is an incredibly affectionate, intelligent and loyal girl who simply wants to be involved in every part of your life. Once she bonds with you, she becomes your shadow, happily joining you on adventures or curling up beside you on the couch at the end of the day.
She has settled beautifully into foster care and has shown herself to be adaptable, eager to learn, and incredibly rewarding to work with. Murphy is highly food motivated (especially if chicken is involved!) and picks up new skills very quickly.

Children:
Murphy currently lives with a 3-year-old, 2-year-old and 6-month-old baby and has been wonderful with them. Because she is an enthusiastic and excitable girl, we believe she would thrive in a home with older children who can better match her energy and enjoy joining her adventures.
Other Dogs:
Murphy has met many dogs and is generally friendly and social. She can occasionally be unsure of some dogs while on lead and may become protective of her person, but with proper introductions she does very well. She has shown she can happily coexist and interact with other dogs.
Cats:

Ideal Home:
Murphy would love an active family who enjoys getting out and about. Whether it’s walks, sporting events, exploring new places, training sessions or simply spending time together, Murphy is happiest when she’s included.
She would not be suited to apartment living and would benefit from a home where she has space to stretch her legs and continue building her confidence.
The best part about Murphy? She truly gives you the best of both worlds. She’ll happily join you on outdoor adventures, but she’s just as content snuggled up on the couch or soaking up the sunshine beside you.
