Meet handsome Penne (aka Toby) — a gorgeous 1-year-old Blue Heeler looking for a patient, understanding home to help him leave pound life behind and remember what it feels like to be safe again.
Penne found himself in the pound due to heartbreaking circumstances after a house fire, when his owners were sadly no longer able to keep multiple pets. Through absolutely no fault of his own, this young boy has lost everything familiar.
Since arriving, Penne has been understandably a little unsure and can be head shy while he learns to trust new people, but importantly he has shown no signs of aggression. He simply needs time, patience, and a calm experienced home to help him rebuild his confidence and settle back into a home environment.
Penne has previously lived with four other dogs, showing he can coexist well with canine companions. He will appropriately greet other dogs and move on, however like any dog, thoughtful pairing and slow introductions will be important.
Despite all he’s been through, Penne is a clever young boy with so much potential. With the right guidance, structure, and love, we know this beautiful boy will absolutely flourish.
