ADOPT BRONCO (AKA PAPPARDELLE)
Meet Bronco — a 12-month-old Cattle Dog x Staffy mix with a heart full of love, a nose that never stops exploring, and enough personality to keep you smiling every single day.
Bronco is a happy, curious, almost fearless young boy who approaches life with enthusiasm and wonder. He may technically be a teenager, but in many ways he’s only just beginning to learn the basics of life as a much-loved family dog. Think of him as a big goofy puppy in an adult-sized body — eager to learn, desperate to please, and completely adorable while figuring it all out.
Despite his lack of early training, Bronco is incredibly intelligent and very trainable. He already knows “sit” and “look” when he has your attention, and he’s proving to be a quick learner who genuinely wants to do the right thing. Like most adolescent dogs, if something exciting is happening nearby, his listening skills can temporarily disappear — but with consistency and guidance, he’s going to make someone an amazing companion.
Bronco is incredibly affectionate and absolutely loves people. Whether it’s pats from little children or cuddles from teenagers and adults, he’s happiest when he’s included. He’s gentle with children and happily sits to soak up attention, though due to his enthusiasm and energy, older children or teenagers may be the best match.
Dog friendly
Good with children
Untested with cats
Toilet trained with continued settling time
Smart and eager to learn
Loves affection and human company
One thing Bronco loves almost as much as people is sniffing! While treats are certainly appreciated, a good scent trail can sometimes be even more rewarding. He enjoys walks, exploring the world around him, and taking in all the sights and smells life has to offer.
Bronco gets along beautifully with other dogs and seems to have wonderful social skills naturally. He would likely thrive in a home with another friendly dog to play with, learn from, and keep him company. While he may be able to live as an only dog in a very active home where someone is around most of the time, he does enjoy canine companionship and can become vocal if he feels he’s missing out on the action.
Like many young dogs, Bronco can become destructive if left bored and without appropriate outlets for his energy. He will need ongoing training, enrichment, exercise, and supervision while he continues learning household manners.
His ideal home would be an active family who understands that while Bronco is still learning, he’s worth every bit of effort. A home where someone is around frequently, where adventures are plentiful, and where he can continue building confidence and skills would suit him perfectly.
In return, you’ll gain a loyal best friend, an enthusiastic adventure buddy, and one of the most affectionate dogs you’ll ever meet.
If you’re looking for a loving, funny, energetic companion who will make you laugh every day and reward your patience with endless devotion, Bronco could be your perfect match.
