Ares is a 17-week-old male Staghound X something big mix! He’s a very active boy who never stops.
He currently lives with his brother Apollo, foster brother Zeus, Boxer Mastiff X and foster sister Stormy Girl. He loves following his foster dad around the property.
Ares can sit, drop, stay and give his paw. He is still struggling with not jumping up, but he’s a clever boy, so it’s getting through with lots of training.
He has met children who are 7 and 10 and loved them, but they will need to be dog savvy as he’s going to be a big boy!
Ares is learning not to take things from his brother and accepting that he doesn’t always have to win at everything.
He hasn’t met a cat, but he’s young enough to learn to be cat-friendly.
He is tough on the outside but a softy on the inside because some loud noises scare him and he runs to his foster mum for assurance.
Ares is toilet-trained and taps the door if he wants out. He’d love to keep up his obedience training as he is so good at it!!
He needs to learn to take his time chewing things, as he tends to just swallow, because he loves his treats so much!
Ares’s perfect home would be with another doggy friend and an active family who loves the outdoors, camping, sports, and hiking. He’d love to be a part of their everyday lives!
