In the right setting, with space and a calmer environment, we believe he will decompress much more easily. He is a very people-focused dog who wants to be close to his humans and currently suffers from separation anxiety, becoming unsettled when he cannot see them. Because of this, he would benefit from a home where someone is around more often to help build his confidence, routine, and independence over time. Oatmeal Cooies is dog selective and would be best suited to a home with no other dogs, so he can fully decompress and be set up for success. He is not suitable for homes with cats or livestock. He can be unsure of strangers entering the home and may bark when people arrive, so he will need a calm, confident owner who can provide reassurance and guidance in these moments. When Oatmeal Cookies is relaxed and not overstimulated, he is a truly beautiful dog who is eager to please and very trainable. He is highly food-motivated, which makes training much easier, and he is already toilet-trained, taking himself outside with no accidents indoors.
